Ruth Roman

Ruth Roman, a screen actress who turned her electro charged combination of sexiness and the wholesomeness of her character into Hollywood stardom in the late 1950s and 1940s, passed away on Thursday at her home at Laguna Beach, Calif. She was 75 years old. She died in her sleep, according to her son Richard Hall. Warner Brothers gave Hall nine leading roles under the age of two, following her debut opposite Kirk Douglas, in Stanley Kramer's 1949 film adaptation Ring Lardner's story Champion that follows a winner who is possessed. The actress went from appearing alongside Bette Davis in 'Beyond The Forest'' to being a part of Milton Berle's "Always leave them laughing' in the space of a day. After completing a role in 'Strangers On a Train in which she starred opposite Robert Walker she was recruited to play Steve Cochran on 'Tomorrow's Another Day. Ruth Ruth Ruth
