Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. She was trained in boxing, kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before making her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and continued her three-fight win streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. In the following fight, she was back at WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia was superior to Aspen who beat Cynthia by a majority vote. Cynthia's records as an amateur were destroyed. Ladd bounced back from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to make her record 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to make her professional d but. Invicta 11 saw her dominate Ana Carolina Vidal to score an KO early in the round. Invicta 16 saw her go from Bantamweight to her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen was dominant McGill with her wrestling and eventually defeated her in the third round with a TKO. Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She took on Hoy using the catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and eventually finished her with a TKO. As for her final fight for this promotion, Ladd defeated Sijara Ebanks with a unanimous win at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC at UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina using ground and pound to defeat her by TKO in the second round. She continued to dominate and got a huge win when she fought Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger in just the first minute and earned a reward to commemorate her performance of the night. Sijara Eubanks of Invicta FC was her opponent in another rematch in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. Her victory was an unanimous verdict, and also she was awarded the Fight of the Night award went to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds ending her win streak. At the end of round three on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her place, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. The decision was made unanimously against her.
